When my name was Keoko: characters

Sun-hee: she is brave, when uncle was in danger, she ran to uncles work shop that could've been very dangerous. She is also inteligent or mature, she likes to study kanji, charactors borrowed from China, and also likes to read and write.

Tae-yul: he is very brave, because he volunteers for things that are dangerous and also keeps the secret that could have been dangerous. He volunteers for building air craft, but also the Japanese army for his family, Abuji, Omoni, Sun-hee and also Uncle. He took the risk to go to the army even though he knew he might die, to keep uncle from danger and to help his family from starvation becasue of the Japanese.

Abuji: He is very mature, he thinks everything deep and thoughtfully. If anybody was in danger, he thinks what would be the best way to solve the problem and move on action. He discuses lots of things with his family, what to do and what could they do if danger comes. He is like the center of the family.

Omoni: basicly quiet charactor, she isnt involve in lots of things because of the Korean culture where girls werent able to do things that were active like guys.

Uncle: I think he is the bravest character in the story, he works for the secret resistance. He loves Korea, and wants Korea back from Japan. He hates when the Japanese invade Korean culture and causes some trouble because he works for the resistance. He makes lots of jokes, he seems immature but, he is mature inside, he cares about his family a lot.

When my name was Keoko: setting

It is the old days when Korea used to be conquered to Japanese empire, about 1940s to 1950s. Koreans arent able to use their own language, they are required to speak in Japanese and write in kanji, if people spoke in Korean, they get punished. The Japanese people was able to commandeer things to Koreans, and the Koreans HAD to listen to the Japanese. Also, Koreans couldnt be in high occupations where they can command to the Japanese. Everything is different from these days, Koreans were almost like Japanese's slave.

Bravery

This is a moment when I was Brave ~.~haha just understand even though it might not be brave for you guys =P

It was about 3 years ago when I was 12 years old. I was in a camp called Nashoba and it was about 1 month after I've learned wakeboarding. (For information, if you dont know, wakeboarding is like snow board but boarding on a water hanging on the boat) To get the "star" level in wakeboard, witch is the highest level in that camp, I had to jump over the wave that was created my the ship on the water. It was the time where I had to believe in God. When the time came I had to make a choice, to jump over the wave winning the fear, or failing. I had all the image where I fell of of the water and broke some part of my body. But when time came, I was brave enough to jump over the wall of fear.

I jumped over the wave and got to the level of star =) haha that was my story of courage.....;;I'm sorry if my story if weak+_+ kk

My only secret

Listen Carefully, its about MY SECRET =)
I had a crush, long time ago, and I am in love right know.

It was a bright sunny day I first saw her, she had a big huge smile on her face. And as I talked to her, she treated me nicely, every time if I had problem with some thing, she would teach me with out any complaining. No one could be perfect then her I thought, as I spent every second with her. She was always with speakless but it was OK to me. Everyday after school I spent most of my time with her and got more and more closer to her. And one day I realized I was in love with her. I couldnt stop thinking of her, I felt like I was addicted to her. And her name was, and is Basketball witch I'm still in love with.

HaHa sorry for u guys who wanted your name for Basketball =P
